History
The San Pedro High School Pirate Booster Club was organized in 1958, and is believed to be the oldest high school booster club active in the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD). With members from all walks of life, including parents, alumni, and teachers, it is the longest established and possibly, the best known of the "booster" organizations supporting San Pedro High School.
2008 finds SPHS Pirate Booster Club preparing to celebrate their 50th anniversary in service to San Pedro High School. Check back at this website for information about special plans and events to mark this occasion!

The San Pedro High School Pirate Booster Club is a non-profit (recognized by the IRS as a 501 (c) (3) organization), all-volunteer, fundraising organization, originally established to provide monetary and moral support to San Pedro High School Athletes (primarily football) through organized fundraising activities by the club's first president, Mr. Matty Domancich. Since then, the club has prospered and grown through the support of the community, and in turn, truly benefited the students of San Pedro High School. Membership dues and donations to the club are fully tax deductible.
The Pirate Booster Club has expanded it's support to include all San Pedro High School sports, Band, Drill Team, Cheer, Short & Tall Flags, Academics, Air Force JROTC, Theater Arts and many other campus sponsored activities.
Dedicated to San Pedro High School
San Pedro High School Pirate Booster Club is dedicated to promoting and assisting San Pedro High School Student Body athletics, academics and extra-curricular activities. We accomplish these goals through membership dues and fundraising efforts throughout the year.
Membership is open to any person interested in working for and supporting the San Pedro High School Student Body. Three types of active membership are available: Regular, Black & Gold, and Century Membership.
All active members are entitled to attend and speak at meetings, hold office, and vote. For more information about membership and to download a membership form, please see our "Membership" page on this website.

Fundraising is conducted on a year round basis. One of our more visible tools is the Pirate Booster Treasure Chest Trailer. The San Pedro High School Pirate Booster Club acquired this custom 8ft x 10ft vendor trailer in January of 1998. It was partially donated by Classic Graphix of Downey, California.
Our other large fundraiser each year is the planning, solicitation of ads, publication and sales of the San Pedro High School printed Football Program, produced for each 'home' football game, and featuring photos and statistics about our Pirate Football teams, as well as advertising from local businesses, other booster clubs, and individuals. The Pirate Booster Club solicits advertising from local merchants and individuals, produces the printed programs, and sells the printed football programs (with the great assistance of SPHS Cheerleaders) at each home football game held in Pirate Stadium.
And while we are selling printed football programs, we also conduct a 50/50 Raffle during each home football game...with half of the proceeds going to the winning ticket holder and half going to benefit programs that the SPHS Pirate Booster Club supports at San Pedro High School.
And be sure to check out the webpage called 'All Photos and Gifts' for a link to the separate website that is hosting the SPHS Pirate Booster Club's photographers' featured shots from football games and other activities. From that photo website, you can order photos and other merchandise that will help fund continuing Pirate Booster Club activities at San Pedro High School!
