Pirate Booster Club Membership

The SPHS Pirate Booster Club VP of Membership has sent out letters and membership renewal forms, as well as the 'Ahoy Mates' letter shown above, to those individuals who were club members in 2007.  Or YOU can download the .pdf application at the bottom of this page.

General Information

Membership in the San Pedro High School Pirate Booster Club is open to anyone interested in working for and supporting the San Pedro High School Student Body.  Our annual membership drive begins on January 1 of each year and membership dues should be received by the Club on or before March 31; members who have not paid their dues by March 31 are considered 'delinquent' and will be dropped from the Club's membership roll.

All members shall abide by the Club's By-Laws.

The Types of membership are 'Active' and 'Honorary'.  Active member categories include Regular, Black & Gold, and Century.

Active Membership:

• Regular Membership:  Anyone interested shall pay active member dues (currently $20.00 per calendar year), can attend meetings, have the priviledge of voice, vote, and hold office in the organization.  Regular members also participate in Club activities and projects through monetary contributions or active participation.  Membership runs from January 1 through December 31 of any given year.  Active members who wish to remain active need to pay their dues by March 31 for the current year.
• Black & Gold Membership:  Anyone interested shall pay 'Black & Gold' member dues (currently $50.00 per calendar year), and has all rights and priviledges listed above for 'Regular' members.  'Black & Gold' members receive a Black & Gold membership card, and a Black & Gold Membership Certificate.
• Century Membership:  Anyone interested shall pay 'Century' member dues (currently $100.00 per calendar year), and has all the rights and priviledges listed for 'Regular' members, plus each 'Century' member receives a Century Membership card, and a Century Membership Certificate.

Honorary Membership

Honorary Membership is conferred to those persons who have shown extraordinary interest and support in the work and projects of the Pirate Booster Club.  Honorary Members are elected by a majority vote of the Board of Directors, and have no specific duties or obligations, and do not pay membership dues.

Annual Scholarships

In addition to membership dues, we also gratefully accept additional donations on the membership tear-off form to benefit specific annual scholarships, awarded each June to SPHS graduating seniors who are college-bound; each scholarship is given in memory of these one-time Pirate Booster members:

If you wish to donate to any of these scholarships, please indicate the amount you are donating next to the specific name on the tear-off form and include that amount with your membership dues.
